A Civilization Betrayed.
An acrid smell permeated the rubble filled city that lay beneath a monochromatic sky. Sharp gusts of winds howled amongst the wreckage, and shards of glass jutted like the bared teeth of a lion from the dust that coated the ground. The only colour seen in the deathly grey streets were the splatters of dried blood that adorned crumbling walls.
Less than a year ago, a terrible disease had swept throughout the entire city. At first, it infected only a select few, their corrupt laughter echoing around the paved jungle of the city.
